A seven-year-old boy tragically died after a car struck him during the morning school run in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

Logan Parker suffered fatal injuries on the A38 Kings Mill Road East shortly before 8:30am Tuesday. Emergency responders, including police and paramedics, rushed to the scene, but medics pronounced the child dead on site.

Police Launch Investigation

Nottinghamshire Police initiated a full inquiry into the collision and urges witnesses to contact investigators. Authorities particularly seek dashcam footage from anyone in the vicinity.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperates fully with collision experts. Logan’s family, residents of the local area, receives ongoing support from specialist officers.

Mother’s Emotional Tribute

Logan’s mother shared a poignant statement honoring her son: “In memory of a boy who will remain seven forever. Always unconditionally loved and cherished, you will never, ever be forgotten. There are no words other than you are the most beautiful, happy and mischievous special boy – full of love, light and adventure. You will be always part of me and our hearts, my little superhero who loved to play and make us laugh. From your cheeky grin, your giggles, dancing and singing to making figures with your arts and crafts whilst eating your favourite snacks, Pic-Nics, on the park and sandy beaches, you will forever echo through my soul. Detective Inspector Jamie Moore expressed: “This is a devastating incident and our thoughts are with Logan’s family, friends and loved ones. The circumstances are being investigated and we would ask the privacy of the family is respected at this tragic and difficult time. We’d like to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward, including anyone with dashcam footage which could help our investigation.”
