Cardi B is on trial for a civil case the place she is accused of assaulting a safety guard whereas pregnant along with her first little one in 2018.

Cardi B Faces Trial for Alleged Assault

On Monday (Aug. 25), Cardi’s trial started in Alhambra, Calif. Emani Ellis is accusing the rapper of attacking her at an OB-GYN workplace in February of 2018. Ellis took the stand on Monday and defined her aspect of the story. She testified that she noticed Cardi popping out of an elevator and commented aloud, “Wow, that is Cardi B.”

In accordance with Ellis, Cardi bought hostile and confronted her, yelling, “Why the f**okay you telling individuals you seen me?” Ellis testified that Cardi then put her finger in Ellis’ face, spat on her and ordered safety to carry Ellis down.

Cardi B Denies Claims

Cardi is denying the claims. She says Ellis tried to document her with out consent and insists Ellis was the aggressor within the scenario. When coming into the courthouse on Day 2 of the trial, Tuesday (Aug. 26), Cardi was questioned by the media. She dismissed the claims, saying she “by no means” touched Ellis. Cardi is predicted to testify within the case immediately.

Ellis is suing Cardi for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional misery, negligence and false imprisonment. Ellis is looking for medical bills, damages for lack of previous and future earnings, punitive damages and a civil penalty of $25,000, CourtTV stories.

Cardi is presently prepping the discharge of her sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, which is predicted to drop on Sept. 19.
