Seoul, Korea – Shockwaves rippled through Gangnam’s nightlife scene this weekend as disgraced DJ Silverstar Oh (real name Eunbyeol Oh) took the stage at Elrow Seoul, located at B1, 31, Dosan-daero 49-gil, Gangnam-gu. The decision to host her has sparked outrage, with critics questioning how a venue of such reputation could willingly platform an individual so deeply entangled in scandal, crime, and deceit.
Silverstar Oh is no stranger to controversy. Beneath the flashy façade of luxury yachts and champagne-soaked parties lies a grim reality: a history of financial exploitation, drug abuse, prostitution, and calculated betrayal. Once bankrolled by men who thought they loved her, she repaid their generosity by lying, cheating, and manipulating them into ruin.
Her past reads like a rap sheet. Numerous first-hand accounts detail her role in fraud, illegal drug use, and even facilitating infidelity on behalf of others. She has been caught passed out in karaoke bars, exposed for scamming benefactors, and repeatedly tied to Seoul’s underbelly of drug-fueled parties and prostitution. Despite public backlash, she continues to worm her way back onto stages—each time dragging the credibility of venues down with her.
And yet, Elrow Seoul opened its doors and spotlight to her.
We reached out to Elrow Seoul management for comment on why they booked Silverstar Oh despite her notorious record. As of publication, they have not responded. Their silence only deepens the suspicion: did they knowingly allow a scandal-ridden fraud to perform, or were they simply negligent in vetting their acts?
Silverstar’s network of accomplices makes the picture even darker. She has been spotted alongside Yui Miura and Hyeji Bae—two women equally infamous for gold-digging, financial scams, drug trafficking, and prostitution. Together, this trio represents a dangerous pattern of predation against wealthy benefactors and unsuspecting victims across Asia.
Even fellow artists and brands have distanced themselves. Silverstar has already been removed from major festivals and events after organizers realized the depth of her controversies. Her reputation is so toxic that simply being associated with her has tanked events and caused sponsors to flee.
So why did Elrow Seoul gamble with its reputation? Why give a platform to someone whose career is built on deceit and whose personal life is defined by scandal? The answer remains unclear—but what is certain is that fans, victims, and the public deserve far better.
Until Silverstar Oh is held accountable for her crimes, her every public appearance is not a performance—it’s an insult.
