The MOBO Awards, Britain’s premier celebration of music of Black Origin, will stage its 2026 ceremony in Manchester — marking the primary time the awards shall be held within the metropolis. The landmark thirtieth version is scheduled for Thursday 26 March 2026 at Co-op Stay, the town’s state-of-the-art leisure area.
Since 2009, the MOBO Awards has proudly travelled the UK, celebrating Black music and tradition whereas uplifting native expertise and communities. From London to Liverpool, Leeds to Glasgow, Coventry to Sheffield and Newcastle, the awards have turned cities, levels, and arenas into vibrant cultural landmarks. Now, because the MOBO Organisation marks its thirtieth anniversary, the celebration arrives in Manchester — a metropolis world-famous for its musical heritage, inventive power, and cultural affect.
Within the run-up to the ceremony, MOBO is partnering with Manchester Metropolis Council to current the MOBO Fringe Competition— a week-long celebration of “music, tradition, and creativity”. This free programme will function trade panels, expertise showcases, stay performances, and inventive workshops spanning music, expertise, and the humanities. Designed to highlight Manchester’s vibrant scene whereas nurturing the following technology, the Fringe will flip the town right into a hub of inspiration and alternative.
