Brian died at his Kent residence on Sunday morning, February 2, 2025. His good friend and agent Thomas Bowington confirmed the information, describing Brian as a “joyful and profoundly good-hearted man” and paying tribute to his “expertise and humanity”.

His spouse Linda paid tribute, saying: “I used to be fortunate to have discovered my soulmate in my lifetime, Brian, whom I’ll love eternally.”

She later took to X to share their final candy picture of herself and Murphy who sat throughout her at a dinner desk.

Alongside the touching snap of them smiling, she revealed it was “Our final date collectively. Dinner on a visit up the Thames.”

“We had been sooo completely satisfied that night time. Sleep properly my darling soulmate. Thanks for loving me a lot,” she concluded.

The pair met once they starred in a play collectively in 1990 and had been collectively 5 years earlier than tying the knot. 

Linda later advised the Sunday Categorical:  “Brian was the whole lot to me, we had been so completely satisfied collectively.”
