Veteran music govt L.A. Reid was slated to face trial to face a sexual assault lawsuit introduced by former worker and fellow music govt, Drew Dixon. L.A. Reid opted as a substitute to settle the matter out of court docket, and the phrases of the settlement weren’t made public.
Selection reviews that L.A. Reid, 69, was supposed to face trial on Monday (January 12) in New York. Dixon, who labored for Reid throughout her time at Arista Information, claims that the manager assaulted her twice in 2001. Dixon filed the swimsuit in New York underneath the Grownup Survivors Act, which briefly suspends the statute of limitations to deliver a sexual assault matter to court docket.
Dixon’s legal professional launched a press release after information of the settlement grew to become public.
