Man Stabbed in Ottawa Shopping Centre Assault, Stable Condition

Ottawa emergency responders transported an adult male to a trauma centre after he sustained wounds consistent with a stabbing during an assault at Elmvale Acres Shopping Centre.

Incident Details

The altercation occurred in a business located in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Boulevard on Friday evening. Paramedics arrived around 8:40 p.m. following reports of the disturbance.

Ottawa police classified the event as an assault and attended the scene to secure the area.

Victim’s Condition

Responders assessed and treated a man in his fifties at the location before rushing him to the hospital. His injuries, inflicted by an edged weapon, left him in serious but stable condition. He was the only individual requiring medical attention.

Authorities report no arrests at this time, but detectives are actively investigating the incident. Officials confirm no ongoing threats to public safety.
