Kaley Cuoco voices sharp criticism of Ashley Tisdale’s handling of a ‘toxic’ mom group fallout during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Cuoco’s Blunt Advice on WWHL
The 40-year-old actress, mother to two-year-old daughter Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, promotes her new thriller series Vanished. When a fan seeks her opinion on Tisdale’s situation, Cuoco responds directly: “I mean, if you don’t like being part of a group, just leave, baby.”
Host Andy Cohen agrees, prompting Cuoco to add, “I don’t think we have to talk about it.” She continues, “You don’t have to do that. Just leave… find a new group.” Fellow guest Erika Jayne from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills chimes in, “Find someone else,” with Cuoco affirming, “Yeah.”
Tisdale’s Essay Sparks Debate
Tisdale, also 40 and mother to daughters Jupiter, four, and Emerson, one, with husband Christopher French, detailed her experience in a recent essay. She describes a shift in group dynamics: “To be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people (maybe one). But I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive—for me anyway.”
Though Tisdale avoids naming individuals, speculation points to a circle including Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore. A representative for Tisdale denies they were the focus. The essay follows her unfollowing Duff and Moore on Instagram.
Cuoco’s Mom Group Celebrates Support
In contrast, Cuoco’s close mom friends highlight their positive bonds. Actress Ashley Jones shares photos with Cuoco, Lacey Chabert, Ali Fedotowsky, and Kimberley J. Brown, captioning: “Mom groups are having a real moment on the interweb this week. Shoutout to my village… #lifteachother #womensupportingwomen.”
Tisdale once praised her own ‘village of moms’ after Jupiter’s 2021 birth, featuring Duff, Trainor, and others.
