Prince and Princess of Wales Take Private Ski Holiday
The Prince and Princess of Wales recently savored a low-key getaway at the luxurious Courchevel ski resort in the French Alps. Last month, the couple dined at an elite mountainside restaurant, where a truffle-infused ham and cheese toastie commands €85 (£74).
A staff member shared, “They had a very nice time and were very polite.” Onlookers photographed the pair from afar as they departed, impeccable in ski outfits and beanie hats.
One excited patron remarked, “I couldn’t believe I was having lunch in the same restaurant as Kate and William. They looked adorable in their beanie hats.”
Courchevel, often called the “Saint-Tropez of the slopes,” features Michelin-starred eateries, designer shops, and draws celebrities like George Clooney and the Beckhams.
Details remain unclear on whether their children—Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7—joined the trip. The family first explored the French Alps in 2016 and has returned for multiple upscale ski vacations, including one early last year with the Princess’s relatives at a mountaintop venue. Sources described that outing as a lively “Middleton knees-up.”
