Windsor Police Rearrest Attempted Murder Suspect for Bail Violations

Published on

Windsor Police have rearrested a 39-year-old man charged with attempted murder after he violated his bail conditions for the second time within about 10 months.

Initial Arrest and Charges

Authorities arrested the suspect in February 2025 following a targeted shooting near Partington Avenue and Algonquin Street. He faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, and possessing a prohibited firearm without a license. Officials granted him bail shortly after.

First Bail Violation

Two months later, bail compliance officers discovered he had breached his release conditions, leading to another arrest. In October 2025, courts released him under strict house arrest terms.

Recent Breaches and Rearrest

During routine checks, officers identified six violations of his court-ordered conditions between January 30 and February 13, 2026. Police apprehended him last Friday on University Avenue West, charging him with six counts of failing to comply with a release order.

The suspect’s surety, present during the arrest, also faces charges for facilitating the breach. A surety supervises the accused on bail to ensure adherence to all conditions.
