Prince Harry and Meghan Markle displayed subtle signs of tension and frustration during their recent joint outing at the 75th NBA All-Star Game. The event took place at Intuit Dome, an indoor arena in Inglewood, California, on Sunday.
Cozy Appearance Amid Crowds
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat next to Queen Latifah and her partner, Eboni Nichols. Photos captured the couple cuddling up while watching the basketball action and cheering enthusiastically.
Body Language Expert Spots Key Gestures
Body language expert Inbaal Honigman analyzed their behavior and noted matching non-verbal cues that many observers overlooked. Both Harry and Meghan gripped their own wrists simultaneously, a gesture indicating self-restraint and self-soothing amid the large crowds and flashing cameras.
Honigman explained: “Harry’s hand holds on to his other wrist, and Meghan does the exact same gesture. This move, of holding one’s own wrist, signifies a desire to restrain oneself, and is also a self-soothing gesture. Both of them are showing some frustration, as if there’s something they want to do but they can’t.”
Another image showed Harry curling his fingers, another indicator of underlying tension. In contrast, Meghan’s smile appeared genuine and engaging, with raised, rounded cheeks forming a full-face ion.
Overall, Honigman concluded that Harry and Meghan remained fully aligned throughout the evening.
