Fulham head coach Marco Silva has discussed Harry Wilson’s contract situation as transfer interest from Aston Villa intensifies.

Aston Villa shows strong interest in the Welsh international, who enters free agency this summer. Wilson continues to impress, netting his 13th goal of the season in Fulham’s recent Premier League victory over Tottenham.

Silva’s Post-Match Comments

Speaking after the match, Silva highlighted Wilson’s form and the ongoing contract talks. “He is enjoying this season,” Silva stated. “He has the people around him to take care of these types of things, the contract situation.”

The coach emphasized the club’s proactive approach: “Our club is trying to have contact with them as much as we can to try to solve it.”

Silva acknowledged the challenges of retaining top talent. “As you know, I am not hiding myself at all in this moment. The better he is going to play, the fight is going to be bigger. It’s clear, but we prefer it this way.”

He added, “Of course, when a player goes into the last year of his contract, if he performs so well like Harry is doing, these types of things are going to happen. The reality is that we are not giving up at all.”

Silva expressed satisfaction with Wilson’s contributions: “We are very pleased with him, he is enjoying life with us as well. Now is the moment for the people around him to take care of his future. And of course, for us as a football club to try to get him with us, if we can, for the next year.”
