Europe boasts unique attractions like Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia and Portugal’s miniature monuments at Portugal do Pequenitos. Theme parks abound, but a dedicated indoor slide park has been absent—until now.
Slick City Action Park Debuts in Nottingham
Slick City Action Park, an indoor venue designed for speed, thrills, and family fun, opens its doors in Nottingham this week. The slides mimic the rush of waterslides without the water.
The U.S.-based company launched the world’s first slide park in Denver, Colorado, in 2022. Dozens more have followed across the U.S., making this Nottingham site Europe’s pioneer.
Attractions and Activities
Visitors can enjoy 16 diverse slides, including:
- Riptide: Features a steep, single big drop.
- Cowabunga: Delivers non-stop excitement with curves and bumps.
- Hyperloop: Offers a vertical drop followed by a swirl in a massive bowl.
Additional features include a soft play area for young children, an arcade, air courts with bouncy floors for dodgeball or basketball, and the innovative AirGlider for a unique flying sensation.
Food, Tickets, and Rules
On-site options cover hot meals, snacks, candy, and drinks—no outside food allowed. Special CitySocks, available for £3 per pair (yours to keep), are required.
Session prices start at £19.95 for 90 minutes (children must be over four years old), rising to £24.95 for 120 minutes. AirGlider rides cost £4 each or £10 for three; a combo ticket offers 90 minutes in the park plus two AirGlider turns for £27.50.
The park opens March 12. Adult-only nights run the first Friday of each month.
Alternative UK Play Spots
Other top destinations include the world’s largest children’s play park at The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland and The Playhive at Stockeld Park, once named the UK’s best indoor playground.
