The suspect accused of firing shots at Rihanna’s Los Angeles property, where the singer and her family were present, now faces severe charges including attempted murder.

Multiple Felony Charges Filed

Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced the charges against 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz during a press conference on Tuesday. Prosecutors filed one count of attempted murder, nine counts of assault with a firearm, two counts of shooting into an inhabited dwelling, and one count of shooting at a motor vehicle.

If convicted, Ortiz could receive a life sentence in state prison, according to Hochman.

Details of the Incident

Authorities state that Rihanna and her partner, ASAP Rocky, were inside an Airstream trailer on the property when Ortiz allegedly opened fire. No injuries were reported from the shooting.
