TOWIE Star Faces Health Scare
Only Way Is Essex cast member Jordan Brook, 31, shares a harrowing update from his hospital bed, describing his battle with brain inflammation and swelling as a ‘really scary time.’ Admitted over the weekend, he awaits test results for a definitive diagnosis while his pregnant partner, Sophie Kasaei, stays away due to risks to her and their unborn child.
Jordan’s Hospital Update
Brook posted a photo from his hospital bed on Instagram Stories, revealing the ongoing ordeal. ‘Unfortunately this is still the view for me. This seems to be a never-ending hell at the moment,’ he wrote. ‘I’m awaiting results from a procedure. Once we get them, more will be cleared up—what we do know is I have confirmed inflammation and swelling of the brain. A really scary time that reassures you we are all human.’
He expressed hope for recovery, adding, ‘Hoping to rest up and be fighting fit and back home with my girl and bump soon, but at the minute it seems a long way off.’ Brook thanked supporters for their messages, apologized for delayed responses due to weakness, and assured work clients of his swift return.
Sophie’s Support from Afar
Sophie Kasaei, expecting their first child, provided an update after describing their situation as a ‘nightmare.’ ‘Jordan is still in the hospital and we are still waiting for answers whilst he is getting treatment and medication,’ she shared. ‘If people are trying to contact him, he’s unable to use his phone at the moment as he’s in pain and is mostly sleeping. His family are there with him doing a great job as it’s too risky for me and baby.’
She anticipates his stay will last a few more days, ending with, ‘Hopefully be on the mend and back home to me and bump very soon. Lots of love.’
Pregnancy Joy Amid Challenges
The couple, together since 2022, announced their pregnancy in December following a two-year fertility struggle. A festive video showed them hanging a bauble reading ‘Merry Christmas Mummy and Daddy. See you in 2026’ on their tree. It recalled last year’s tradition of placing a baby blanket under the tree and transitioned to them dancing glamorously, Sophie’s baby bump on display in a red dress.
In January, they hosted a lavish gender reveal at Three Rivers Golf & Country Club in Cold Norton, attended by reality TV friends including James Argent, Lauren Goodger, and Charlotte Dawson. The event confirmed they are expecting a baby boy.
