Brooklyn Beckham narrowly missed encountering his estranged father David at the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles on Monday, and he has also steered clear of reuniting with his younger brother Romeo during their overlapping visits to the city.
Romeo’s Business Trip to LA
Romeo Beckham, 23, arrived on the West Coast to pursue his own ventures after joining David, 50, and friends for a ski getaway in British Columbia, Canada. He visited the office of Malibu designer Justin Saul, 33, in downtown LA on Tuesday to advance their collaboration. Romeo shared a photo on Monday sporting a vintage USA windbreaker.
Brooklyn Keeps Low Profile
Brooklyn, 27, recently attended Elton John’s Oscars watch party with wife Nicola Peltz, 31, on Sunday. Since then, he has remained at his $16 million villa in the exclusive Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills, avoiding contact with family members in town.
Sources close to the family confirm no communication exists between Brooklyn and his parents, a situation they describe as deeply regrettable yet reflective of his choices alongside Nicola. Any accidental encounter would have proven highly tense, but Brooklyn has firmly distanced himself from David and Victoria.
Narrow Misses at the Hotel
David checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel late Sunday ahead of filming a Lay’s chips commercial in Santa Monica on Monday morning. Brooklyn arrived that afternoon for breakfast and a relaxed pool day following the late-night party. David returned later for dinner at the iconic Polo Lounge with friends, including David Gardner, who once shared a close bond with Brooklyn.
Mother’s Day Snub and Ongoing Tensions
Brooklyn’s avoidance aligns with his decision to skip UK Mother’s Day in March, opting instead for a social media tribute to his mother-in-law Claudia Peltz on her March 15 birthday, seen by many as a pointed gesture toward Victoria.
Nicola Peltz appeared unfazed Tuesday morning, heading to a Hollywood studio meeting in black leggings, platform boots, and a stylish bomber jacket.
History of the Estrangement
Tensions escalated last year when Brooklyn and Nicola missed David’s 50th birthday events in May. Summer saw legal demands from the couple’s representatives for communication only through lawyers and an end to social media mentions by the Beckhams.
The pair also skipped David’s knighthood ceremony at Windsor Castle in November. Before Christmas, Brooklyn blocked his parents online. In January, he posted a detailed Instagram letter accusing Victoria of inappropriate behavior at his 2022 wedding and attempts to undermine his marriage—claims she denies—along with lifelong parental control and no interest in reconciliation.
