Officers seized a loaded illegal handgun after stopping a vehicle under the Cannabis Act in Mississauga, Ontario, last week.

Peel Regional Police conducted the traffic stop around 8:30 p.m. on March 15 near Derry Road East and Goreway Drive. During the investigation, officers discovered the loaded handgun inside the vehicle.
Arrests and Charges
Two occupants faced arrest at the scene—a 21-year-old man from Brampton and a 20-year-old woman from Mississauga. Both now face multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
