Gary Neville’s production company, Buzz 16, generated £11.6 million in revenue last year. As co-founder of this sports entertainment organization, Neville oversees a thriving podcast network, highlighted by the flagship show The Overlap – Stick To Football.

Impressive Viewership and Strategic Expansion

The Overlap’s YouTube channel amassed 2.2 billion views in 2025. Early this year, the company secured a deal with Global to sell a majority stake, paving the way for brand growth.

Financial Breakdown

From gross revenue, Buzz 16 allocated £4.6 million to wages and pension contributions. Neville, alongside co-founders Scott Melvin and Diana Law, received over £3 million in dividends.

Podcast Portfolio Growth

Launched in 2021, The Overlap has diversified beyond Stick To Football into spin-offs like Fan Debate, hosted by Jamie Carragher with rotating celebrity guests, and Football Music and Me, led by Geoff Shreeves. The channel entered new territories with The Overlap – Stick To Cricket, gaining 103,000 subscribers in nine months.

Documentary Productions

Buzz 16 also produces acclaimed sports documentaries, including Rylan: Football, Homophobia & Me for TNT Sports and Micah Richards: Tackling Racism for Sky Sports.

Podcast Landscape Among Ex-Players

Neville joins other former England stars in podcasting. Paul Scholes co-hosts The Good, The Bad, and The Football with Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness. Rio Ferdinand runs Rio Ferdinand Presents, featuring interviews like his recent chat with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.

Gary Lineker leads with Goalhanger Podcasts, encompassing The Rest Is History, Empire, Football Cliches, and The Rest Is Football. The company achieved nearly £37.7 million in 2025 revenue, an 80% increase from 2024. Analysts estimate its value at up to £100 million, following a stake sale to The Chernin Group.

Neville’s Broader Ventures

Beyond podcasts, Neville appears regularly as a Sky Sports pundit and hosts The Gary Neville Podcast. He invests in property, education, and hospitality through his Relentless portfolio.
