Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has confirmed his separation from ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos and submitted a legal petition in Texas to safeguard the safety and welfare of their two young daughters.

Prescott and Ramos, both 32, ended their relationship in March following a joint bachelor-bachelorette party in the Bahamas. The split occurred just weeks before their planned wedding in Lake Como, Italy. The engagement fell apart after Ramos discovered Prescott had messaged other women using incognito social media accounts.
The couple, who began dating in 2023 and got engaged in October 2024, share two daughters: two-year-old Margaret Jane and 11-month-old Aurora. Ramos works as a wine and spirits specialist.

On March 17, Prescott filed custody documents seeking joint managing conservatorship. The petition states: “The parents of the children are separated. The appointment of the parents as joint managing conservators would be in the best interest of the children.”
The proposed order includes restrictions preventing either parent from taking the children out of Texas without the other’s written permission. It also prohibits communication with “vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent language.”
Prescott requests temporary orders to protect the children’s safety and welfare. Both parties must preserve relevant documents and electronic data. They have 30 days to provide evidence of their ability to pay child support. The filing encourages amicable resolution through mediation.
