Alexa Melton, ex-girlfriend of U.S. and AC Milan soccer star Christian Pulisic, has withdrawn her earlier accusations of infidelity against him.

Melton Clarifies Instagram Comments

Melton initially confirmed their breakup in the comments section of her Instagram post. There, she claimed Pulisic created a profile on the dating app Raya before their relationship ended and threatened to share it publicly.

On Thursday afternoon, Melton shared a statement on her Instagram story retracting those remarks. “I’ve made some comments on a private matter and it’s been taken out of context,” she wrote. “I received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine. Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding this matter.”

How the Couple Met

Melton and Pulisic featured together in a 2025 Paramount+ documentary, where they recounted their meeting. Pulisic explained: “I slid in the DMs as they call it.”

Melton recalled her surprise: “I got the DM and I was like ‘who is this dude with 8m followers and why is he DMing me?’ And then I scrolled through his Instagram and I was like ‘Oh he’s a big time soccer player.'”

Pulisic described her as “a really special girl.” He added: “I guess I never got to a point where I was ready for it and that’s something I’ve really changed my mentality with and also my faith and that in a lot of ways has sort of led me to her.”

Pulisic Eyes World Cup Glory

With personal matters settled, Pulisic shifts focus to the upcoming World Cup. As America’s top player, he aims to lead the USMNT to success on home soil this summer.

Melton recently shared glamorous photos from a golf outing on Tuesday.

Pulisic currently struggles for form, scoreless in 12 matches for AC Milan and without an international goal since November 2024.

Past Dating Rumors Denied

In December, online reports linked Pulisic to actress Sydney Sweeney. He quickly dismissed them on Instagram Story: “Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people’s lives.”

He also labeled another post spreading the rumor as “Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”
