Felicity Montagu, known for her role as Margo Martins in the BBC spin-off Beyond Paradise, recently appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. The actress, who joined the series in 2023, praised the production quality during the live broadcast.
Praise for Cast and Crew
Montagu highlighted the strong performances, stating, “I think the acting’s very good in it. I’ve acted for 43 years and I know when I’m acting with someone when I think it’s vacuous and nothing’s happening, and everyone’s really doing their job.”
She added, “It’s brilliantly directed and produced, and with Tony Jordan at the helm I just feel very, very safe.”
Upcoming Cast Get-Together
During the show, hosts screened a clip featuring Montagu alongside Dylan Llewellyn, who portrays Constable Kelby Hartford. Describing Llewellyn as a “lovely bloke,” the hosts prompted Montagu to reveal an exciting update.
“Yes, he is,” she agreed. “We’re all meeting up in a couple of weeks’ time, which is very nice.”
Filming Location Revealed
When questioned about the setting, Montagu confirmed the fictional town of Shipton Abbott in Devon. She disclosed, however, that filming occurs in Looe, Cornwall.
“It’s great,” she noted. “The fish mongers have gone really upmarket since we’ve been there… And I was going to talk to them because I thought their prices had gone up, but then I thought I’d better not start.”
Beyond Paradise returns this Friday at 8pm, offering fans a continuation following the recent conclusion of Death in Paradise.
