Bridgerton Star Genevieve Chenneour Stuns in Stockings for Bold Lingerie Shoot

Genevieve Chenneour, recognized for her role as Miss Clara Livingston in Bridgerton‘s third series, captivated fans with a sultry lingerie photoshoot for accessories brand Opuline Jewellery. The 29-year-old actress shared behind-the-scenes Instagram clips on Wednesday, showcasing her toned physique in stockings and suspenders while gyrating in front of a full-length mirror.

Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse

Viewers caught a peek at Chenneour’s shoot preparations, including her hair being pinned for the jewelry-focused campaign. The images evoke the steamy aesthetic of Bridgerton, though she filmed far from the Netflix set.

History of Violent Encounters in London

The campaign arrives over a year after Chenneour confronted a phone thief at a Joe & The Juice cafe on Kensington High Street in west London. She bravely resisted Algerian thief Zacariah Boulares, 18, during a daylight attack on February 8 that left her concussed. Boulares received a 22-month sentence in July for three counts of theft and common assault. A second man threatened her with a stabbing, prompting a Scotland Yard investigation into a 19-year-old suspect, though no charges followed.

Chenneour, a former Olympic swimmer turned actress and qualified Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) boxer, credited her quick reflexes and fight training for her response. However, she cautioned others against similar actions, stating, “I don’t know if I would advise anybody else to do it. I think I have very quick reactions, thanks to having three brothers growing up and I’m an aviated carded boxer.”

Psychological Impact and Relocation

The ordeal left lasting trauma, rendering her severely agoraphobic and unable to use public transport. She relocated from London to live with her mother, staying in hotels during work trips. Chenneour expressed ongoing fear over the unidentified second assailant: “I can’t understand why someone’s walking around who has threatened to stab me.”

In August, she described the downward spiral: “And then if I did leave the house, I wanted to be with someone. But I felt like a burden. That’s a really dark downward spiral that you can find yourself in.”

Second Assault Near Oxford Circus

In November, Chenneour faced another attack near Oxford Circus, struck without warning by a man minutes before an audition. The incident, amid London’s crime rate rising nearly a third over the past decade, reignited panic attacks. Speaking through tears in an Instagram video, she said: “Guys, literally five minutes before my audition, I was walking around the corner at Oxford Circus and this guy just looks at me, and targets me, and f***ing hits me.”

She described the assailant as about 50 years old, 6ft 3in tall, Black, wearing a dark hat and black clothes. “I’m so shaken,” she added. “I’d just got my confidence up and was looking at moving back.” The assault left her struggling to compose herself, though casting staff provided a quiet room above the audition space.
