Filming for the latest season of Geordie Shore paused briefly in Paris due to safety concerns after cast members faced a pursuing stranger.
Incident Unfolds During Paris Shoot
Nathan Henry, 35, captured the moment on social media video, showing the cast relocating after the encounter. The group encountered a local man who began following them closely, prompting a swift move to another location.
In the footage, a startled Nathan explains: “We’ve just been chased by a crazy man. So we’ve had to move locations because this crazy crazy guy… Parisian guy, who is following us. So we had to move for health and safety.”
Recent Cast Turmoil and Pay Disputes
The show, which debuted on MTV in May 2011 and has aired 26 series, recently navigated a major cast shake-up amid pay negotiations. Chaos erupted just before production began, with only six members confirmed for the French road trip: Gaz Beadle, Holly Hagan, Jay Gardner, Aaron Chalmers, Sophie Kasaei, and Ricci Guarnaccio.
James Tindale, Abbie Holborn, Marnie Simpson, and Chloe Ferry initially exited the Paramount+ series. Cast members beyond the core six received an ultimatum: accept reduced pay and screen time or depart.
Abbie Holborn Makes Last-Minute Return
Production for the 27th season continues through the year, with an expected 2027 premiere. Abbie Holborn, 28, reversed her decision following a late offer. Sources indicate producers, already missing several stars, secured her participation to maintain group dynamics, noting her strong ties to the returning cast.
