The Duchess of Edinburgh turned heads with a sophisticated ensemble at the Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association parade and service in Hyde Park on Sunday morning, May 10.
Elegant Waist-Cinched Coat Dress
She arrived in a favorite pastel blue Emilia Wickstead coat dress, the ‘Blue Kalonice Crepe Wrap Coat Dress,’ featuring long sleeves and a lapel collar belted tightly at the waist for a figure-flattering silhouette. Evoking Cinderella’s classic elegance, the Duchess elevated the look with bold accessories: a wide-brimmed brown hat, matching pointed-toe heels, and a snakeskin clutch bag. Her hair swept back neatly, complemented by minimal jewelry.
Proven Favorite for High-Profile Events
The Duchess has favored this Emilia Wickstead design for several notable appearances. She last wore it as Reviewing Officer for The Sovereign’s Parade in Camberley in April 2025, pairing it with matching blue heels and a feathered netted fascinator.
Earlier, in December 2024, she donned the same dress for the royal family’s Christmas Morning Service at Sandringham Church, styled with a darker blue pillbox hat and knee-high brown boots.
Blue Theme Continues
Blue dominates her recent wardrobe. Just days earlier, on Friday, the Duchess selected a pale blue Roland Mouret maxi dress for a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. Cinched at the waist with a breezy hem, it matched a bespoke Jane Taylor hat adorned with flowers, feathers, and ribbons, tilted stylishly to one side.
She joined Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and Zara Tindall at the event. This dress echoes one from a garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse two years prior.
