Diletta Leotta, the 34-year-old DAZN presenter, and her husband, former Liverpool and Newcastle goalkeeper Loris Karius, have welcomed their second child, a son named Leonardo.
New Family Addition
The couple, who married in 2024 and already share a daughter named Aria born in 2023, shared the joyful news on social media. Photos from the hospital bed capture Diletta cradling Leonardo while smiling at Aria, with Karius proudly embracing his wife and daughter.
An endearing video shows Aria gently holding her baby brother’s hand, alongside additional family snapshots. The post, simply captioned ‘Leonardo,’ drew warm congratulations from friends and followers. Comments included ‘Welcome Leonardo,’ ‘I’m crying. Congratulations my friend,’ ‘Best wishes,’ and ‘How wonderful!!! Congratulations.’
Diletta’s Bold Personality
Diletta has previously drawn attention with candid remarks about her intimate life. She rated herself a 10 in bed, comparing her passion to a ‘volcano’ like Mount Etna in Sicily for its heat. When asked about her favorite position, she replied, ‘Imagination, always something new.’
Despite her growing pregnancy bump challenging her outfits, Diletta continued her broadcasting duties, including radio appearances and hosting Serie A matches.
Karius’ Football Triumph
Leonardo’s birth caps a triumphant period for Karius, who played a key role in Schalke’s promotion back to the Bundesliga after clinching the German second-division title. The Gelsenkirchen club, led by former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, hopes this victory marks a revival after recent struggles.
Karius joined the celebrations in Ibiza with teammates, where footage captured him DJing on a private boat at sea.
The German goalkeeper signed with Schalke last summer following two years on Newcastle’s bench. His career hit a low after errors in the 2018 Champions League final cost Liverpool against Real Madrid. Now, the former Germany youth international enjoys success both professionally and personally.
