Margot Robbie turns heads on the red carpet at the West End opening of 1536 at the Ambassador’s Theatre. Her Alexander McQueen ensemble blends grunge with sophistication, highlighted by a striking military-style black jacket adorned with gold braiding on the chest and cuffs, plus a high neckline.
Outfit Breakdown
Underneath the jacket, Robbie layers a simple black shirt and pairs it with low-rise black jeans that accentuate her toned midriff. She completes the look with black heels, a sleek black clutch, and gold earrings. Her blonde hair falls in an elegant half-up, half-down style.
LuckyChap’s Role in the Production
Robbie co-produces the play through her company, LuckyChap Entertainment. She shares its significance: “At LuckyChap, we’re always drawn to bold, female-driven stories, and Ava’s brilliant play is exactly that. We’re absolutely thrilled to be coming on board as co-producers for its West End transfer.”
“The show is fearless, witty and emotionally resonant, and it gives voice to women whose stories still feel timely today,” Robbie continues. “Bringing 1536 to the West End is an incredibly exciting next chapter, and we’re honored to help champion this phenomenal piece of art.”
Plot Overview
Set in Tudor England amid King Henry VIII’s marriage to Anne Boleyn, the play follows three female friends confronting violence and survival in rural England.

Recent Press Tour Success
Robbie’s appearance follows her acclaimed Wuthering Heights press tour, where her wardrobe earns widespread praise. A master of method dressing—adopting character-inspired outfits to promote projects—she leads the trend.
She pioneered it during the 2023 Barbie tour, recreating iconic looks with stylist Andrew Mukamal. Their efforts culminate in the lookbook Barbie: The World Tour.
Mukamal recalls the inspiration: “I had the idea when I was in one of the fittings with Margot. I was collecting all these sketches and fabric swatches from designers, and I was like, ‘Wow, all of this would make the most beautiful coffee-table book.'”
Robbie adds: “We still had a bunch of looks that didn’t get their moment. We were like, ‘Oh, that’s so sad.’ But then Andrew found a way for them to have their moment.”
For Wuthering Heights, her outfits draw from designers like Victoria Beckham, Alexander McQueen, Schiaparelli, Chanel, Thom Browne, Maison Margiela, Vivienne Westwood, and Dilara Findikoglu.
