King’s Birthday Honours Recognise 1,182 UK Citizens

This year’s King’s Birthday Honours have celebrated the exceptional achievements of 1,182 individuals from across the United Kingdom. These awards acknowledge their significant contributions to their communities and the nation at large.

Knighthoods and Damehoods for National Impact

Individuals receiving Knighthoods and Damehoods are granted the right to use the titles “Sir” or “Dame.” These honours recognize substantial national contributions. Among this year’s recipients are acclaimed writers Julia Donaldson and Malorie Blackman, alongside prominent rugby league figure Kevin Sinfield.

Order of the British Empire Awards

Further distinctions within the honours system include the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), and Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
