While senior members of the British royal family were occupied with the Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Princess Beatrice was seen in Austria for a high-profile social event alongside her sister, Princess Eugenie. The sisters traveled to Vienna to attend the wedding of a prominent European family, the Schwarzenbergs.
Beatrice Stuns in Designer Gown
Princess Beatrice, 37, made a striking appearance outside St. Charles Church in Vienna, opting for a dazzling floor-length gown. The statement piece, identified as ‘The American’ Bow-Detailed Wool Blend Lamé Gown’ by luxury British designer The Vampire’s Wife, featured elegant puff sleeves, bow accents, and a high, rounded neckline. Crafted from shimmering wool-blend lamé, the dress was perfectly suited for a festive occasion and certainly commanded attention. Beatrice complemented her striking outfit with delicate gold jewelry and a bold black clutch. Her brunette hair was styled in loose waves, cascading past her shoulders.
Eugenie Showcases Chic Maternity Style
Princess Eugenie, who is expecting her third child, chose a more understated yet elegant ensemble for the wedding. She looked sophisticated in a dark navy midi dress by Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst. Identified as the ‘Amor’ Knit Midi Dress in Dark Navy Cashmere Silk’, the £1,300 ribbed dress featured a collared neckline and short sleeves, an ideal choice for the warm weather. The design gracefully hugged her figure. Eugenie accessorized her look with statement black hoop earrings and a dark lip color, with her hair neatly styled in a bun.
Recent Royal Appearances
This overseas outing follows another recent public appearance for the York sisters. On June 6th, both Eugenie and Beatrice attended the wedding of their elder cousin, Peter Phillips, to Harriet Sperling in the Cotswolds. They were accompanied by their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, respectively. Eugenie favored another navy midi dress for that occasion, while Beatrice wore a green floral print dress.
Notable Absences from Trooping the Colour
The sisters’ presence in Austria meant they were among several members of the royal family who were absent from the Trooping the Colour celebration on June 13th. The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, joined the King and Queen, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Other notable royal absences from the annual event included Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall and her recently married son Peter Phillips. Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex, were not present. Disgraced royal Prince Andrew, who has not attended Trooping the Colour since ceasing to be a working royal, was also absent.
