European Cargo Ltd Collapses, Job Losses Mount
European Cargo Ltd, a UK cargo airline, has entered administration, resulting in the termination of employment for 178 staff members. The company has ceased all trading activities following the appointment of administrators on June 3. The airline, which operated freight flights from Bournemouth Airport and had recently initiated services from Teesside Airport, cited a decline in flying activity and escalating fuel costs as primary reasons for its financial collapse. After 17 years of providing services, the Banbury Therapy Group has entered administration, with indications that it may transition to a not-for-profit model. The counselling and counselling training service appointed administrators last week. Crucially, the administration is not expected to affect customers or employment within the organization.
