She was transported to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where medical professionals declared her deceased upon arrival.
An official statement from the police indicated that an immediate inspection of the scene revealed no suspicious circumstances, and no suicide note was found. The young performer was widely recognized for her role as Diya Tandon in the popular television series Kumkum Bhagya.

A close friend, Geetanjali, speaking to Telly Talk India, suggested that Ugale’s death may not have been entirely unexpected. “If a person says so many times that they will die by suicide, then it was not sudden,” Geetanjali stated. “For six months she had been saying that she wanted to die, that she did not want to live.”
Geetanjali further elaborated that Ugale had been grappling with depression since early 2026. “She was depressed, of course. I think this began in January,” the friend shared.

Just hours before her death, Sanchita Ugale posted a video on social media, singing the well-known song “Dafli Wale.” The post has since drawn numerous comments from fans ing their shock and sadness. Many noted the apparent happiness displayed in her final video, with one commenter observing, “She looked so happy and enjoying her life.” This led to further reflections on the nature of mental health struggles, with another fan writing, “People who look happiest r the most depressed ones. They hide it in a better way.” A poignant farewell from a fan read, “Miss you, Sanchita.”
