Emma Corrin Dazzles in Feathered Jacket at Schiaparelli Show

Emma Corrin made a striking fashion statement on Monday at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show in Paris, capturing attention with a dramatic, avian-inspired ensemble. The non-binary actor, known for their role as Princess Diana in Netflix’s ‘The Crown,’ arrived in a vibrant, feathered jacket that featured bold embellishments, including pointed beaks and claws extending from the chest and back, and a substantial collar. This distinctive piece is reportedly from Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture archive collection.

A Bold Entrance at Paris Haute Couture Week

The Schiaparelli show marked the opening of Paris Haute Couture Week for the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 season. The collection, titled ‘The Call of the Void,’ was presented by the fashion house’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, at the Petit Palais. Corrin’s choice to go braless beneath the elaborate jacket, paired with simple black trousers and pointed heels, highlighted the avant-garde nature of the outerwear. The actor posed for photographs, transforming the street into a runway before taking a front-row seat.

Paris Haute Couture Week, a prestigious event showcasing the pinnacle of craftsmanship, is scheduled to run until Thursday. The event features approximately 30 fashion houses presenting their latest hand-crafted creations to an international audience.

Star-Studded Attendance

The Schiaparelli show drew a notable contingent of celebrities and public figures, all eager to witness the unveiling of the new collection. Among the attendees were:

  • Chiara Ferragni: The influencer garnered attention in a striking optical illusion dress in grey and white.
  • Bad Bunny: The musician opted for a sharp look featuring a yellow suit and a braided tie.
  • Michelle Yeoh: The acclaimed actress was seen offering a friendly wave to onlookers.
  • Vera Wang: The fashion designer made an entrance in towering, skyscraper heels.
  • An Actor Portraying Princess Diana: Adding a touch of historical resonance, an actor dressed as the late Princess Diana also attended the showcase, complete with a beaded white jacket and tiara.

Corrin, who is widely recognized for their critically acclaimed performance as Princess Diana in ‘The Crown,’ has recently embraced a quieter lifestyle. In 2023, the actor relocated from London to the coastal town of Margate, where they have become an active part of the local community.

Corrin’s Life in Margate

Speaking on Jessie and Lennie Ware’s ‘Table Manners’ podcast, Corrin expressed their fondness for Margate. “I really love it,” they shared, detailing their appreciation for local establishments. “Curve Coffee is amazing. It’s adjacent to the town, just above the high street, in a little square. Curve does the best Kimchi toastie you will ever try, it’s so good.” The town’s appeal to creatives has led to it being playfully nicknamed ‘Shoreditch-On-Sea,’ a nod to the trendy East London neighborhood.

Despite the allure of city life, Corrin mentioned a preference for staying closer to home when dining out. “I’m really bad at eating out in London, I never do it,” they admitted. “In Margate I do it, because everything’s really close.” Corrin highlighted High Dive as a favorite spot, describing it as a place that started small on the harbour arm, serving tacos and enchiladas, and noted their exceptional spicy margaritas.

The Schiaparelli Collection

Daniel Roseberry’s ‘The Call of the Void’ collection for Schiaparelli is expected to push the boundaries of haute couture, blending surrealism with exquisite craftsmanship. The brand is renowned for its artistic and often provocative designs, drawing inspiration from founder Elsa Schiaparelli’s legacy of avant-garde fashion. The collection’s themes often explore the intersection of art, fashion, and the human psyche, making it a highlight of the fashion calendar.

Haute Couture Week in Paris is a biannual event that celebrates the highest form of fashion artistry. It is a platform for designers to showcase unique, made-to-measure garments that are often characterized by intricate detailing, luxurious fabrics, and innovative techniques. The event not only sets trends for the upcoming seasons but also serves as a testament to the enduring power of traditional craftsmanship in the modern fashion industry.

Emma Corrin’s bold fashion choice at the Schiaparelli show underscores their willingness to embrace daring and artistic statements on the red carpet and beyond. Their presence, alongside other notable figures, highlights the cultural significance of Paris Haute Couture Week as a global stage for fashion innovation and celebrity style.
