A man described as “caring and kind” has died after being assaulted on a Central Line platform at Liverpool Street station while returning home from the Notting Hill Carnival. Thomas Jewitt, 32, was attacked on the evening of Sunday, August 30, and later passed away in hospital. His family has released a statement paying tribute to his memory and expressing their grief.
