A former NRL star turned radio host surprised Cronulla Sharks forward Toby Rudolf with an unexpected home invasion prank, only to discover him practicing yoga completely naked.
The Unexpected Intrusion
Aaron Woods, now a presenter on Triple M radio, received a key to Rudolf’s beachfront apartment in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire from teammate Blayke Brailey. Accompanied by a camera crew, Woods rode the elevator up and entered the unit unannounced.
“We’re going to go and open Toby Rudolf’s door, try and surprise him,” Woods said. “This could be anything, this is very rogue. We don’t know what he’s up to, if he’s awake, if he’s asleep or whatnot, if he’s got clothes, no clothes. We’re just going to go into his room.”
As they approached the door, Woods noted, “He’s got a lot of Crocs, there’s weird-looking shoes. We’re going in. Oh jeez, the smell hits you, it’s a big waft.”
Naked Yoga Surprise
Inside the living room, Woods spotted Rudolf in the nude, mid-yoga stretch. “Hey big dog, he’s nude,” Woods exclaimed. “He’s nude, what are you doing? He’s watching some yoga, he’s stretching. How you going big dog?”
Rudolf remained unfazed, embracing Woods in a hug despite his lack of clothing. “What’s going on here?” Woods laughed. “Is this how you get yourself ready for the morning?”
“This is one way, this is part of the process,” Rudolf replied. “What are you doing in my house?”
Woods admitted Brailey provided the key. “I didn’t know you would be stretching nude,” he chuckled. Rudolf shot back, “I didn’t know you would be in my house.” Woods added, “He’s in downward dog running style.” Rudolf quipped, “I was about to be.”
Rudolf’s PNG Ambitions
The lighthearted stunt follows indications that Rudolf eyes a pioneering role with the new NRL franchise in Papua New Guinea. “I’ve also got mates who have surfed at Vanimo in PNG and they say the waves and coastline are so beautiful. The people in the village there are welcoming and kind and they loved it,” Rudolf shared.
He continued, “All I ever do on my days off is message the team group chat – which no one replies to – ‘Hey boys, who wants to come for coffee? Who wants to get breakfast?’ Crickets. In PNG, you’re in a compound with everyone, there is no escape from me, it’s my dream. Don’t get me wrong, you’d probably get over it at some point in time, but what an experience to live in Papua New Guinea, would be f***ing wild.”
