Bynes Announces Plans for Gold Dental Work

Actress Amanda Bynes revealed on Tuesday her intention to have a set of gold teeth installed, replacing her current veneers. This latest announcement marks another significant shift in the star’s evolving appearance.

In December, Bynes shared that she had lost 28 pounds, attributing the weight loss to the use of the medication Ozempic. Her weight loss journey has continued in the months since, with Bynes providing updates on her progress.

Shifting Styles and Weight Loss Updates

The former child star has experimented with various looks recently. In April, she transitioned from platinum blonde hair to a raven shade, though she has since returned to blonde. Her eyebrows have also seen changes, moving from dyed dark colors to a natural light brown, and then back to black.

Bynes shared her plans for the gold teeth on her Instagram Stories, expressing excitement about the procedure. She stated she will be visiting a trusted dentist in Beverly Hills known for exceptional work. Bynes explained that the decision stems from her current veneers “grey very easily or turn yellow because of the material they’re made out of.”

In a video accompanying the announcement, Bynes showcased her slimmer midriff. She captioned the clip with a menorah emoji and the phrase “STANDING ON BUSINESS.”

Ozempic Use and Weight Goals

Bynes first disclosed her use of Ozempic in December, informing followers that she had gone from 180 pounds to 152 pounds. At the time, she shared an image of herself, noting, “I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!”

The actress had announced her intention to start Ozempic in June of last year, amidst a surge in popularity for weight loss injectables within the entertainment industry. Bynes stated her goal was to reach around 130 pounds, believing it would improve her appearance in paparazzi photos.

By November, Bynes reported a 20-pound weight loss and expressed a desire to lose an additional 50 pounds.

Further elaborating on her weight journey, Bynes stated in early 2024 that she weighed 163 pounds. She explained that while using Ozempic, her weight had initially increased from 173 to 180 pounds, but she was subsequently able to lose 20 pounds from that higher weight, bringing her down to 163 pounds with the injection.

Bynes, who is now in a relationship with Zachary Khan, commented that the injectable was “working” and that she was “trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute.”

Past Procedures and Personal Milestones

Bynes also revealed that depression had led to a 20-pound weight gain. Her ultimate aim is to return to her teenage weight of 110 pounds.

In addition to weight loss efforts, Bynes underwent lip filler treatments last August. In 2023, she confirmed having excess skin removed from her eyelids through surgery, a procedure known as a blepharoplasty. She described this surgery as “one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence.”

Among her recent personal gestures, Bynes got a tattoo of the Roman numeral X on her finger last May, commemorating her 10-year “best friend anniversary” with a close friend who received matching ink.
