Anais Gallagher Hails Mom Meg Mathews as ‘Coolest Chick’ on 60th Birthday

Anais Gallagher praises her mother, Meg Mathews, as the ‘coolest chick’ while marking her 60th birthday. The influencer shared heartfelt photos on her Instagram Story to celebrate the animal activist’s milestone on Saturday.

Birthday Tributes and Plans

Anais captioned the post: ‘It’s my gorgeous mum’s 60th birthday today. Literally the coolest chick.’ She added, ‘Also, she’s been campaigning against animal cruelty since long before I was born.’

Meg Mathews shared her own update, revealing plans to spend the day at an animal sanctuary in Norfolk. ‘It’s a beautiful day. It’s my 60th and I’m spending it with my family and we’re going to The Gunton Arms, which is one of my favourites,’ she wrote.

Family History and Oasis Ties

Meg married Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher in Las Vegas in 1997, but the couple divorced less than four years later amid a highly publicized split. They have since reconciled, particularly as Noel navigates his recent £20 million divorce from Sara MacDonald and the band’s reunion with brother Liam.

Meg met Noel shortly before Oasis exploded onto the Britpop scene with their debut album, Definitely Maybe. She supported him through early fame. With a VIP ticket from Noel, Meg and daughter Anais attended the band’s first gig in Cardiff on July 4.

Reports once claimed Meg left the show early, before the hit ‘Wonderwall’—which Noel reportedly wrote about her. Meg countered on social media, stating she departed to avoid the exiting crowds.

Ahead of the Oasis comeback tour, Meg posted nostalgic photos from their marriage, counting down the days.

Anais Defends Her Path

Some credit Anais with helping mend her parents’ relationship, while others point to the Oasis tour. Anais has addressed ‘nepo baby’ labels in an interview with H! Fashion magazine. She credited father Noel for early financial stability but emphasized her independent success.

‘There are a lot more dangerous industries in which nepotism is around—look at Donald Trump’s sons,’ she said. ‘I would be far more concerned with people making legislation than an actor wanting to help out their daughter who wants to be an actress. All my privilege and, in quotation marks, “luck” has come from my financial stability—not my dad’s fame.’
