Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appeared in public for the first time since his arrest, taking a solitary 90-minute dog walk through the countryside near Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
First Sighting Post-Arrest
The 66-year-old former prince, who resides at the five-bedroom property, presented a lone figure during the outing. This marks his initial appearance since four weeks prior, when photographs captured him slumped in a Range Rover leaving a Norfolk police station.
Authorities detained him for 11 hours on suspicion of misconduct in public office before releasing him under investigation on February 19.
Relocation and Royal Markings
Recent deliveries of hundreds of removal boxes stamped with ‘HRH’ arrived at Marsh Farm, indicating continued use of the honorific in private. Labels included ‘HRH office,’ ‘HRH sitting room,’ and ‘HRH meeting room.’ The shipment, handled by a specialist firm, contained clothes, antiques, books, and fragile items.
This move follows his eviction from Royal Lodge in Windsor. The Norfolk property now features security enhancements such as fencing, CCTV, broadband, Sky TV, new flooring, carpets, and grounds improvements.
Sarah Ferguson’s Corgi Cloning Discussions
Sources indicate Sarah Ferguson explored cloning the late Queen’s corgis, Muick and Sandy, for a reality TV project in May 2023. The proposal involved replicating the dogs for sale to generate income, with cloned pets fetching up to £75,000 in the US.
She met executives from a Los Angeles studio for discussions. A spokesman for Ferguson clarified: ‘Sarah Ferguson never progressed any discussions with Halcyon Studios, which were engineered by others, and withdrew from them of her own accord. She listens to TV proposals all the time but that doesn’t mean she is going to go through with them. If she had briefly seemed enthusiastic, that is just who Sarah is. Sarah never had any intention of monetising the corgis. She had been looking at doing a TV show about dogs for many years, long before she had the corgis and long before she was introduced to Halcyon Studios. She owns other types of dogs also. Any resulting show would never have been about the corgis alone.’
Pet cloning remains controversial due to potential abnormalities, though legal in the US.
Family Dynamics Amid Scandal
Jack Brooksbank, husband of Princess Eugenie and son-in-law to Andrew and Ferguson, maintains support without direct involvement. A source noted his ‘code of honour’ prioritizes his wife and two young children, August and Ernest, amid heightened scrutiny from Epstein ties.
Concerns persist that the scandal could impact Brooksbank’s business, AEB Consultants Ltd. Eugenie and Jack also resist any suggestion for Ferguson to reside with them temporarily, citing challenges.
Ongoing Allegations and Travel Plans
Andrew faces claims of sharing sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein during his role as special representative for international trade and investment. His post-arrest routine reportedly involved minimal activities.
Prior plans to relocate to Bahrain or Abu Dhabi, where extradition treaties are absent, were thwarted by a tip-off prompting his arrest. Regional conflicts, including US-Israel actions against Iran, have dashed hopes for such moves, affecting the family as well.
