Anthony Joshua Inks Tribute Tattoo for Friends Killed in Nigeria Crash

Published on

Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua honors two close friends lost in a tragic car crash in Nigeria with a new tattoo on his arm.

The Fatal Accident Near Lagos

Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele perished when their vehicle collided with a truck on a road near Lagos last December. Joshua, who was traveling in the same car, sustained injuries and received hospital treatment before discharge. He then returned to the UK to attend the funerals of his strength and conditioning coach Ghami and trainer Ayodele.

A Permanent Memorial

The 36-year-old fighter recently visited Fulham Tattoo in London to add their names beneath a map of Africa on his arm. The ink now prominently displays ‘LATZ’ and ‘SINA’ as a lasting tribute to his companions.

Images capture Joshua leaving the scene of the devastating crash that claimed his friends’ lives.
