A 19-year-old passenger has died from injuries sustained in a serious road traffic collision on Sheffield Road in Jackson Bridge near Holmfirth.
Details of the Crash
Emergency services responded to the scene at 10:11pm on Wednesday, February 11, after a silver Skoda Fabia veered off the road and smashed into a wall. Ashton Tomes, the passenger, suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to hospital. He passed away two days later on Friday, February 13, according to West Yorkshire Police.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Three men, all aged 19, were arrested at the time of the incident and have been released on bail while enquiries continue. The Major Collision Enquiry Team is urging witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
