Bollywood legend Govardhan Asrani, who appeared in The Lion King, dies aged 84

Govardhan Asrani, a legend in Hindi cinema who appeared in lots of of movies, has died.

The Indian actor and director, 84, who appeared in over 350 Hindi and Gujarati movies, has died after a chronic sickness.

Asrani’s supervisor, Babubhai Thiba, reportedly introduced: ‘Asrani handed away at this time at 3PM at Arogya Nidhi Hospital, Juhu.

‘He’s survived by his spouse, sister, and nephew.’ 

No reason for demise has but been introduced, however it has been reported that he was hospitalised in Mumbai earlier than his demise.

Asrani was finest identified for his position because the jailer in Sholay and Amadavad no Rikshavaro, with youthful followers remembering him for voicing Zazu within the Hindi voiceover for The Lion King.

Tributes have been pouring in for the late actor, with many remembering his impactful work.

The Movie and Tv Institute of India stated: ‘We’re deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor, instructor, and distinguished FTII alumnus Mr. Govardhan Asrani.
