A devoted father from Horwich, Bolton, lost his life in a motorbike accident near Rivington Pike. Anthony Place died at the scene after his blue Yamaha collided with a car park barrier on a side road off Rivington Lane on Wednesday, April 8.
Heartfelt Family Tribute
Anthony’s family released a moving statement expressing their profound grief. “Rest easy our beautiful son – you left us way too soon,” they shared. “Your smile lit up every room you went into and your energy gravitated to everyone you met. You were a loving father, stepfather, and partner, the best big brother, and a crazy uncle. Words will not come close to how this emptiness feels. You have left many hearts broken and a void that will never be filled.”
Crash Details and Injuries
The incident occurred just after 9pm near Rivington Hall Barn. A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries and was treated before being discharged from hospital. Authorities confirm no other vehicles were involved.
