A 37-year-old British father of two plunged to his death from a sixth-floor balcony at a hotel in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, early Wednesday morning. His partner and two young children, both under 10, slept inside the room during the tragic incident.
Emergency responders arrived promptly after multiple calls but could not save the holidaymaker, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The unnamed hotel overlooks the popular resort area.
Partner’s Account and Police Investigation
The man’s partner explained to investigators that they had shared drinks before she retired to bed. He remained on the balcony alone, and she maintains the fall was accidental. Spain’s National Police lead the ongoing probe into the circumstances.
Recent Similar Incidents on Costa del Sol
In May last year, a 24-year-old British tourist sustained life-threatening injuries after falling from a first-floor room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Puerto Banús near Marbella. The drop equated to a three-storey height due to the elevated location.
