Double Homicide Investigation Underway in Montreal Suburb
Local authorities have launched a major crimes investigation following the discovery of two deceased individuals in a Brossard residence early Monday morning. Officers responding to reports of an armed assault on Bienvenue Avenue at approximately 12:45 a.m. found a 54-year-old woman and 56-year-old man with traumatic injuries.
Scene Investigation Continues
Police spokesperson Jacqueline Pierre confirmed both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have established a command post as forensic teams process evidence from the residential property. While the victims’ connection to the residence remains unconfirmed, officials acknowledge they’re examining the possibility of a murder-suicide scenario.
‘It’s premature to draw definitive conclusions at this investigative stage,’ Pierre stated during a morning briefing. ‘Our detectives are meticulously reviewing all evidence and witness accounts to establish precise circumstances.’
