Supermodel Christy Turlington, 57, steps out with a prominent silver streak in her hair while walking her two black-and-white dogs in New York City. The Vogue cover star appears makeup-free, dressed in a casual blue denim jacket, white slacks, and sunglasses perched on her head.
Embracing Natural Aging
Turlington, wife of filmmaker Ed Burns, advocates for natural aging without plastic surgery or injections. She recently took on the role of Global Ambassador for Lancome Paris and serves as the brand’s new face in 2026. Turlington expresses contentment with her aging process, noting her mother’s vibrant appearance at 86.
“I think it’s important to embrace every age,” Turlington shared in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “The alternative is not that exciting, so staying optimistic and trying your best to be your best self at any time in your life is a good way to live.”
She adds, “I’m mostly happy with the way that I’ve aged. I can see my mom in myself and myself in my mom, which is nice, because my mom is 86 and she still looks good. So I feel like: ‘Okay, that’s reassuring, if I take care of myself, I should be okay.'”
Daily Skincare Routine
Turlington maintains youthful skin through a simple regimen: washing her face in the morning, moisturizing multiple times daily, prioritizing sleep, and regular exercise.
“I mean, it’s pretty simple. I wash my face in the morning and moisturize a lot,” she explained to Harper’s Bazaar. “Sometimes I’ll even double moisturize, because especially at this time of year, I get dry skin. And then, I’ll add a nice little layer of foundation, some blush, and mascara, and that’s kind of it, I’m on my way.”
“A good night’s sleep or a run or something where I’m moving my body [helps]. Also, again, a bit of moisturizer in the morning wakes me up, makes me feel a little bit fresher, and a little bit goes a long way,” she continued.
Her go-to products include Lancome’s Rénergie moisturizer and Teint Idole foundation. “I love consistency, and I love reliability, and Rénergie is the best cream moisturizer situation going,” Turlington said. “I feel like the Teint Idole foundation is really awesome… one that has a nice texture and provides a good amount of coverage, but you still look like you.”
Career and Activism
Beyond modeling, Turlington founded Every Mother Counts, a nonprofit focused on improving maternal health and reducing mortality rates. She rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s, fronting campaigns for Calvin Klein and Maybelline, and gracing over 500 magazine covers.
