Coleen Rooney, 39, appeared without her wedding ring while running errands in Cheshire on Monday, shortly after her husband Wayne, 40, was spotted partying with two mystery women at a pre-BRITs event in Manchester over the weekend.
Wayne’s Late-Night Outing
Wayne looked disheveled, struggling to keep his trousers up, as he joked and drank with the women into the early hours. Witnesses noted he seemed “worn for wear” and not in a great place. One onlooker questioned, “What would his wife Coleen think?” Photos captured him sharing drinks with the women before they departed in separate cars around 3:25 a.m.
Friends Express Frustration
Coleen’s close friends have labeled Wayne an “idiot” for his behavior, especially as it coincides with her major Primark clothing launch. One friend stated: “Coleen has worked so hard on this Primark range; it’s massive for her. For Wayne to act like such an idiot just days before her big moment is irritating.”
The friend added that the incident draws unwanted attention away from Coleen’s achievement, fueling gossip among their circle. Despite this, the friend noted Coleen remains loyal to Wayne.
Coleen’s Primark Milestone
Coleen is set to host a celebration for her debut Primark collection in London’s Mayfair on Thursday. Dressed in a white padded coat and dark brown activewear, she looked downcast during her outing.
Family and Long-Term Marriage
Married since 2008, Wayne and Coleen share four sons: Kai, 16; Klay, 12; Kit, 10; and Cass, 8. Last year, Wayne credited Coleen with saving him from alcoholism by helping him reduce his drinking.
History of Challenges
Coleen has navigated several high-profile infidelity allegations. In 2004, at age 18, Wayne made headlines for allegedly visiting prostitutes, including paying £140 to Charlotte Glover, 21, and encounters at a Liverpool brothel with Gina McCarrick, 37, and Patricia Tierney, 48. Coleen stood by him without public comment at the time.
In a 2023 Amazon Prime documentary on Wayne’s career, Coleen opened up about enduring his cheating and drinking issues. She praised her parents, Colette and Tony, for their support, explaining her decision to stay focused on the family.
“When you’re making those decisions, you’ve got to focus on what you want and not other people… My mum and dad always give me a positive outlook. There’s nothing we can’t deal with… Let’s sit down and see what we can do and can we make it work? And we have.”
She described their relationship as practical, built on teamwork and humor rather than romance.
