David Beckham Takes to the Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay
David Beckham, 50, stepped into the culinary spotlight by preparing a gourmet dish alongside his longtime friend Gordon Ramsay, 59. The duo, who have shared a friendship spanning two decades, announced a new partnership focused on meal delivery services. Beckham showcased his skills in a social media video, cooking a scallop truffle risotto using a recipe provided by the acclaimed chef.
The collaboration centers on Real Home Chef, a meal box company known for its high-end recipes. Ramsay contributes premium dishes to the service, and now Beckham’s BEEUP fruit snacks join the lineup, adding a sweet element to the offerings. In the Instagram clip posted on Saturday, Beckham unboxed the meal kit during a FaceTime call with Ramsay, who guided him through the process.
Playful Banter and Expert Guidance
As Beckham opened the package, he remarked on the arrival of the kit, prompting Ramsay to describe it as ‘a little gift from chef to chef.’ Noticing Ramsay’s stern expression on the box artwork, Beckham teased, ‘You could have smiled by the way.’ Ramsay laughed it off, insisting, ‘That is me smiling, sorry.’ He then highlighted the featured recipe, noting, ‘Inside that box is a five-star recipe of a beautiful scallop truffle risotto, which I know you love.’
Beckham responded enthusiastically, ‘That’s very true actually. Okay, so risotto, watch and learn.’ While searing the scallops, he sought Ramsay’s input, who offered praise: ‘They are looking beautiful. Great sear by the way. Bellissimo!’ Beckham credited his progress, saying, ‘I’ve had a good teacher. All done, mate, finishing touches,’ as he added chives to the dish. To complete the meal, Beckham introduced his fruit snacks, holding up the packet and declaring, ‘But there’s one thing that’s missing in the meal kit. Something sweet.’ Ramsay approved, calling it ‘your finishing touches. Well done, chef.’
Timing Amid Family Spotlight
This lighthearted kitchen session arrives shortly after Beckham’s son, Brooklyn, 26, faced online mockery for a cooking video. Brooklyn shared steps for his ‘special spaghetti bolognese’ on social media, but fans pointed out the absence of actual spaghetti, with comments like, ‘Is the spaghetti in the room with us, hun?’ and ‘This is not spaghetti.’ He later explained, ‘I was going to use spaghetti but ran out xx.’
The post followed Brooklyn’s public statement last week, where he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of controlling behavior and attempting to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 30. Among his claims, he alleged Victoria withdrew from designing Peltz’s wedding dress at the last minute and that his parents disrupted his wedding with inappropriate actions during the first dance.
Victoria, 51, reportedly feels betrayed by these revelations, especially after years of shielding Brooklyn from negative publicity through legal interventions against scandalous stories. Sources indicate David and Victoria remain open to reconciliation and are dismayed by the recent developments. Meanwhile, the family demonstrated unity at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, with David, Victoria, and their children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, attending together. Brooklyn, however, shared separate glimpses of life with Peltz, including family dinners and their home garden.
