DiCaprio Dances with Maguire at Super Bowl Party as Ceretti Carries Italy Flag

Published on

Leonardo DiCaprio, 51, flashed a wide grin while dancing to Ice Cube’s performance at the Raising Cane’s pre-Super Bowl event in San Francisco on Saturday night.

Reunited Pals Groove to Classic Rap

The Oscar winner bobbed along to the 1991 diss track ‘No Vaseline’ from the second row, right behind his longtime friend Tobey Maguire, 50. Ice Cube, 56, delivered the nostalgic gangsta rap aimed at his former N.W.A. bandmates Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, and manager Jerry Heller.

DiCaprio appeared more joyful than in recent years, dressed in his signature black baseball cap and matching jacket amid the lively crowd. Maguire, the Spider-Man star and divorced father of two, also enjoyed the sporty, throwback gathering.

The duo first met in 1990 while auditioning and later co-starred in the 1993 drama This Boy’s Life and Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film The Great Gatsby. In the 1990s, DiCaprio partied with a group of friends including Maguire, Kevin Connolly, Harmony Korine, Jay Ferguson, Josh Miller, David Blaine, and Ethan Suplee.

Ceretti’s Olympic Pride

Meanwhile, DiCaprio’s girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, 27, represented Italy by carrying the national flag at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Milan. She wore a custom white Giorgio Armani gown.

Ceretti shared on Instagram: ‘This was the greatest honor of my life. I still can’t believe I had the privilege of carrying the Italian flag at the Olympic Games. Before I got there, I don’t think I fully understood the responsibility I was taking on: within that flag live our history, our values, and the beauty of the most incredible country in the world.’

She added: ‘Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be doing what I love most in front of 80,000 people. Thank you for trusting me. I hope I made you proud, Italy.’

Awards Season Competition

DiCaprio competes for Best Actor honors for his role as single dad and stoned revolutionary Bob Ferguson in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, a modern adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. The film, starring Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti, leads with 14 BAFTA nominations.

Upcoming races include the 79th British Academy Film Awards on February 22, the 32nd Screen Actors Guild Awards on March 1, and the 98th Academy Awards on March 15. He faces competition from Timothée Chalamet of Marty Supreme.

Next, DiCaprio reunites with Don’t Look Up co-star Jennifer Lawrence in Martin Scorsese’s horror film What Happens at Night, with Apple Original Films in talks to finance the adaptation of Peter Cameron’s 2023 novel.
