Dramatic video out of North Carolina reveals the center stopping second a small aircraft slammed into the Atlantic Ocean … flipping on impression earlier than rescuers pulled the pilot out in a race towards time.
The only engine plane had simply taken off from Cape Concern Regional Jetport earlier this month when the engine all of a sudden failed, forcing the pilot to make a break up second name … try a return to the runway, threat touchdown on a crowded seaside or ditch within the ocean. He selected the water.
The footage of the crash is chilling. The aircraft skims throughout the floor at excessive pace earlier than flipping nostril over into the waves.
Drone video from rescuers reveals the pilot trapped inside. Hearth officers say rescuers reached him in seconds, pulling him out feet-first by the windshield in a dramatic underwater extraction that lasted simply 30 seconds.
Mark later thanked his heroes. On August 11, he visited the Southport Hearth Division to fulfill the crew, shake arms, and current them with an award for his or her lightning quick save.
This close to demise crash changed into a miracle rescue.
