A 27-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 8 near Hamilton.

Burlington Ontario Provincial Police officers arrived at the scene around 5:40 p.m. Sunday near Lyndon Road.

The 27-year-old was pronounced dead on site. A 69-year-old man from Hamilton suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received hospital treatment.

Authorities stated: “A 27-year-old male from Cambridge was pronounced deceased at the scene, and a 69-year-old male from Hamilton was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Investigators closed Highway 8 for several hours that evening but have since reopened it.

No charges have been announced at this time.
