A tragic collision between two snowmobiles in Quebec’s Pontiac region claimed one life and left another person in critical condition. The incident occurred in the municipality of Mansfield-et-Pontefract late Thursday night.
Details of the Collision
Authorities with the Sûreté du Québec reported that the crash took place around 11:30 p.m. on Chemin du Lac-Jim. It remains unclear whether the accident happened on a public road or a designated snowmobile trail.
A man in his 30s perished at the scene, while a second snowmobiler, also in his 30s, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Medical officials describe his condition as critical.
