Gia Fleur Discusses Pregnancy with Partner Alan Wallace and MAFS Feuds

Published on

Gia Fleur, a participant from the reality series Married At First Sight, has shared details about her current pregnancy with her partner, Alan Wallace. Fleur, 36, recently appeared on the radio show Fifi, Fev & Nick, where she discussed her second pregnancy and her relationships with former co-stars from the show.

Pregnancy Announcement and Joyful Surprise

Fleur announced her pregnancy with Alan Wallace, her first child with him and her second overall. The news came as a happy surprise, as she had previously believed she might not have another child. “I was really excited,” Fleur told Woman’s Day magazine. “My first thought was, ‘Yay!’ because I have a 10-year-old daughter and I thought I’d never have another kid. I didn’t think I’d meet the right person to have another baby with.”

The reality star is approximately 12 weeks pregnant, with the baby due in early January. This pregnancy follows a period of significant personal growth and happiness for Fleur after a challenging year, which included her tumultuous experience on Married At First Sight.

Relationship with Alan Wallace

Fleur and Alan Wallace began dating less than a year ago. Their relationship has progressed rapidly, with the couple moving in together, renovating a home, and even getting matching tattoos within months of meeting. Wallace, who previously appeared on the second season of Love Triangle, reportedly expressed surprise when Fleur shared the news of her pregnancy.

The couple found they shared similar life goals early on. “We were just on the same page from the start. We both wanted kids. We just always knew what we wanted,” Fleur explained. Wallace deliberately chose not to watch Fleur’s season of Married At First Sight, aiming to get to know her as an individual rather than through her televised persona. This approach has been credited by Fleur with helping her rebuild her confidence.

Support from MAFS Castmates

During her radio appearance, Fleur noted that most of her former Married At First Sight co-stars had reached out to offer support following her pregnancy announcement. She specifically mentioned that Juliette, Mel, Rebecca, Julia, and Stella had all sent messages.

However, one notable exception was Bec Zacharia. “Bec [Zacharia] hasn’t!” Fleur stated. She acknowledged that she wasn’t surprised by this, given their past interactions. “I wasn’t expecting [anything from Bec], it’s fine, we have beef,” she admitted.

Reactions to Other Castmate News

Fleur also commented on the recent news of co-star Stella Mickunaite’s split from her on-screen husband, Filip Gregov. “I wasn’t expecting [to hear from] Stella because we don’t have a great track record, so that was nice,” Fleur said, referring to Stella’s outreach. “I wish her nothing but the best, she’s a gorgeous girl… she’ll find someone else.”

Navigating Post-Show Scrutiny

The pregnancy announcement comes after a difficult period for Fleur, who experienced intense public backlash following her appearance on Married At First Sight. She has spoken openly about the significant toll this scrutiny took on her mental health, including receiving death threats and cruel messages questioning her parenting abilities.

During this time, Fleur was also navigating the process of coming off antidepressants. She credits Alan Wallace with providing crucial support during this challenging phase, helping her to regain her confidence and move forward from the negative experiences associated with the reality show.

Looking Forward

Fleur expressed her happiness and gratitude for her current life situation. “We are so happy. I feel so grateful. We’re out the other side of the villain stuff… we’re just so happy,” she said, reflecting on her journey. The upcoming arrival of her second child with Alan Wallace marks a new and positive chapter for the reality television personality.
